I just wanna share you what I found recently. 5 Free Typefaces that are relatively new to have a look.

Nata rounded 0.1
Nata rounded 0.1 is a Beta version of David Botella first Typeface. Bulky and round, and also absolutely perfect to use for any typographic designs.

Big Boned
Big Boned is the Alpha version typeface that has bold shapes and it is a result of a playful experimental typeface by networkosaka.com.

Titillium
Titillium is a high quality sans serif typeface, which has professional looks and suitable for display or text purpose. It comes with various font-weight in a set. There is also available Titillium extra-black version to download for free.

Museo Sans
Museo Sans is a derivative typeface of the well-known Museo. Just note its geometric glyphs which is designed with very precise proportion. This typeface has a great ultra balance of structure.

2015 A fresh start Canvas 938

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

WOW! What a great day painting! December 20th was my official 1st day back, grey and nasty outside, it could have gone the other way, but it didnt! Perhaps a good sign for the new year to come. Canvas 938 is a high contrast painting, using my favorite colour yellow, and my favorite subject KOI!

Now that 2014 passed into history Im glad to see the back side of it! Off the cuff, I would say 2014 was not my best year......but it was. I expect time to prove that right!

Im happy to say my main goal was met. I did paint for an unknown solo exhibit and it did happen. I used the opportunity to show my large works painted over the last 3 years as a collection entitled "Sizing Up". The exhibit also included four new 2014 paintings and it runs though Jan. 17th 2015. (last post)

I also experimented with the more contemporary avant-garde side of art. A few sorta worked but nothing I would follow up on - one might call it a dead end. Some off shoots of those experiments I did like. I liked simpler compositions with more negative space and plan on doing more. I absolutely like large work surfaces and expect to continue along the same lines. Maybe not as heroic as I would like, but certainly larger than normal....one of things we, the contemporary guys, agree on.

In the end I knew if I continued down the avant-garde art path my paintings would technically suffer. I also knew it wouldnt hold my attention long and painting would be finished! A rather depressing thought, so Im back......with another approach:=)

After all, cant waste time on the fast track!
